The Ballad of Arthur Darvill

Well the guys from BBC Radio One have done it again. The Matt Edmondson show had actor Arthur Darvill on, and, just like they did with Hugh Jackman (see our article), they gave him a song.

While Arthur is most famous for his role as Rory, a companion to Matt Smith’s Doctor, that’s not the only thing in his repertoire. Here he sings a parody of “Let it Go” and the man has mad chops! Not only was he hitting high notes, he mentions of his other roles, including a project with another Doctor, David Tennant in Broadchurch, and his current role in London’s West End’s production of Once.

The song does reference the fact that fans love him as Rory, and their inability to “Let It Go”.

The mere fact he was able to sing it without breaking out in laughter is amazing in itself. Arthur, no matter what your role, we think you’re amazing!

Dear BBC Radio One guys – please keep up this level of awesomeness with such clearly talented and good natured stars!
