My thoughts (because I know you’re ALL itching to know)?

I am probably being overly feminist, but I’m a little sad there’s not one lady writer in the bunch. There are a couple of lady directors thrown in there so that’s a bit of a consolation but…honestly, I can’t imagine that there are zero women interested in writing for the show. Maybe it’s because all of the best contenders just happened to be dudes, but I have a feeling this might be another “Moffatt…why you no like ladies?” scenario.

Also, “Into the Dalek”…ugh…another Dalek episode…not that I’m fully anti-Dalek, but I think it might be refreshing have a Dalek free season…I mean…I can only take so much of those voices. And they already went to an entire planet of insane Daleks…where do you go after that? Well, I guess, INTO one…I wonder if it’s like that episode from every sci-fi show ever when the main characters shrink themselves to go into a human body…

“Mummy on the Orient Express” however has me kind of excited…kind of really excited…but then that’s just the Egypt/British Murder Mystery lover in me squeeing over the most awesome mash-up ever.

The title of the season finale, “Death in Heaven”, triggered my inner nerd only because it reminded me that Peter Capaldi totally played the Angel Islington in Neil Gaiman’s “Neverwhere”. I doubt the episode has much to do with that, but I still think it’s a fun connection to make!

At any rate, I am getting pumped for the new Doctor! Allons-y!
