FanExpo 2015 – So Much To Explore

Sure this ComicCon of the North is a great place to add to your autograph or photo collection with guests representing so many fandoms – from Agents of SHEILD to X-Files – but there are so many other things to do at Fan Expo!

GeekFest

This year there is Geekfest Film Festival which is taking over room 707 in the South Building in hour increments to show the best of the internet. Check out their booth 4723 for the full schedule or look up their listings from Friday Noon til Sunday 1 closing with a Screen Award from 2-3.Detailed Schedule Here

MyLittlePony

Get hands on at the Lego Booth! Or see the My Little Pony stage show (Saturday 1 pm South Building 701). There’s also Speed Dating (Hetro and LGBTQ) where you can sign up at their booth by genre!

Families will be pleased to hide from the crowds and do various crafts in the Room 202 of the North Building (no you can’t leave the kids there, not sure if you need kids to participate).

There are panels on costuming, on crowdfunding, on creating your own tabletop games, on horror, and on upcoming Captain Canuck adventures!

And there are the Media Guests!

Here are just some of the people who are attending this year’s Fan Expo:

It IS the start of a new school year!

It IS the start of a new school year!

Potterheads are in luck with not only the Wesley Twins (James and Oliver Phelps), but also our favourite Slytherin Tom Felton, and one for the big three Ron Wesley’s first North American Convention Rupert Grint (Saturday & Sunday only). There may still be a few tickets for the Hogwarts Reunion panel ($40-130 + HST) with all of them on one stage, or catch their individual Q&As (free).

Walking Dead fans also have a panel of guests to meet: Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, and Lennie James are all here on Saturday and Sunday.

Horror fans can meet Scream’s Neve Campbell, Danny Trejo (Machete), and the godfather of all things undead George R. Romero.

Other television guests include Hannibal’s Maal Mikkelsen, Arrow’s Willa Holland, and Mr. Robot’s Christian Slater.
