Leeroy Jenkins Gets Nerfed.

Leeroy, you are just cheesy as hell.

For some fans of Hearthstone, September 22nd can’t come fast enough.  The news that the card for Leeroy Jenkins is undergoing a massive change may reduce the rage felt by Hearthstone players.  The card used to cost four mana crystals to play, and gave you a a 6/2 card with charge.  That is a powerful card that lead to some deadly combos.   If anyone has run into the Leeroy Jenkins finishing move, you know that he has the potential to uncork 20+ damage in a single turn.  Any Hearthstone player knows to hope for the best when Leeroy appears.

The rumoured changes will move Leeroy’s cost to five mana crystals, which can limit some of the combos you can pull off.  There just won’t be enough mana crystals to spend in one turn.  There will still be some shenanigans that you can pull off with Leeroy, it’ll just require more setup to do so.  However, Leeroy isn’t the only one to feel Blizzard’s nerf bat.

If you play a hunter in World of Warcraft, you’ll find no solace in Hearthstone.  A great and cheap card, the Starving Buzzard, is getting a change as well.  The combo of Unleash the Hounds and Starving Buzzard will be harder to pull off.  The rumoured stat change looks like it will cost five mana crystals, but the card will change to a 3/2 instead of a 2/1.  While it means that the combo will require eight crystals to pull off, the card gets beefier.

The information was posted by Zeriyah; while it is a community manager announcing it, anything can happen between now and patch date.

Do you like the new changes to the cards?  What combos, tactics or tricks will work best with these new stats?  Let us know in the comments below, or on Facebook.
