Must See TV Trailers & Previews Released at SDCC 2011

Nerds from around the world gathered in San Diego this past weekend for Comic Con. Amid all the madness, our favourite television shows had their panels and released juicy tidbits, trailers, previews and spoofs for their upcoming (and current) seasons. I’ve gathered videos from the most important shows all together in once place. Click more for video from The Walking Dead, Chuck, Fringe, True Blood, The Ringer, Dexter and more.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Full Trailer

The Walking Dead premiered it’s first full trailer for season 2 this weekend. Despite my initial misgivings after being bored to death by the First Look that aired last weekend, this trailer looks amazing and I’m completely back on board. A more fleshed out second season with a full 13 episodes promises lots of zombies, action, and character development. The Walking Dead Season 2 Premiere’s Sunday October 16th at 9pm on AMC.

True Blood “In the Coming Weeks” Season 4 Back-Half Preview

True Blood nearly halfway through it’s completely insane fourth season released a preview for the second half of the “Season of the Witch”. Despite the continued insistence that we should be interested in the Mickens, the Merlotte’s and the Panthers I’m so excited to see how this is all going to play out. More Fairies!

In case you were worried they were running out of supernaturals it was announced that research is already underway to discover new and exotic creatures for season 5.

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Trailer: The Season of the Originals

Yep, this is a teen Vampire drama which took a surprising turn into becoming acompletely enthralling thriller with an exciting new take on Vampire mythology (no glittery teenagers here, but lots of very good looking people). The Vampire Diaries moves at breakneck pace continuously delivering new twists and developments keeping us viewers on our toes fearlessly killing characters along the way, and bringing in new ones in exciting ways. After the cliffhanger that ended season 2 with originals, werewolves, witches and vampires running rampant and a newly re-eviled up Stephen is evil here’s something to wet our appetite until The Vampire Diaries returns September 15th.

The Ringer Season One Trailer

Sarah Michelle Geller makes her triumphant return to television with The Ringer on the CW. Geller plays identical twin sisters who both seems to have gotten into some serious trouble with one on a path of redemption, and the other revenge. The show is  takes us on an adventure through the lives of people who’s moral codes are shades of grey and all have secrets with a lot at stake. Exec. Producer Pam Veasay says of the the move from CBS to CW the is able to be a serialized thriller outside of the restraints of the procedural tone prefered by CBS.  The Ringer also stars Nestor Carbonell (Agent Victor Machado), Ioan Gruffud (the husband of one of the sisters) and Kristoffer Polaha (Siobhan’s Lover). I can’t help but see Buffy when I look at SMG, but I still have high hopes for this new series. The Ringer premiere’s Tuesday September 13th on the CW.

Fringe – Casting the New Peter

There was no new trailer for Fringe’s secretive fourth season (check out the first promo here). Joshua Jackson who made a surprise appearance at the panel dressed as an observer, promised that Peter will be back and the writers are going to make everything come together in a really great way. In lieu of a trailer the Fringe folks gave us a special treat, a casting video for the new Peter including such stars as Zachary Quinto (Heroes, Star Trek), Greg Grunberg referencing his role on Heroes insisted that Peter would be a mind reader now since him and JJ are BFFs, Michael Emerson, Danny Pudi in a mustache, Jean-Ralphio from Parks & Rec (Ben Schwartz) bringing the Dawson’s Creek references and plenty more hilarious celebs getting in on the fun. Make sure to watch through to the end (for hilarity) but also for Joshua Jackson as an observer auditioning.

Chuck: Morgan vs. The Intersect

Entering Chuck’s final season it’s pretty much a miracle they made it this far on the brink of cancellation every year. The little show that could kept chugging on, but season 5 is going to be the end, for real this time. Keeping up with the geeky parade of guest stars, season 5 will kick off with Mark Hamil cast in the role of the big bad. Yvvone Strahovski thinks season 5 will end with a pregnancy, and Adam Baldwin has his heart set on a spinoff. While no real trailer was released, there is a video of Joshua Gomez and Ryan McPartlin trying to convince Executive Producer, Chris Fedak that Morgan can really be the intersect. Yes there is Jeffster, and yes there is Eye of the Tiger. NBC disabled the video out of the U.S. and  disabled embedding on youtube. So do yourself the favour and take the extra step  to watch: Morgan vs. The Intersect.

Dexter Season 6 Trailer

Michael C. Hall returns for a sixth season of playing the Dark Avenger serial killer Dexter. This season features the super creepy Colin Hanks as the big bad. Dexter returns Sunday October 2 at 9pm on Showtime.
