Tony Stark Consults on Bionic Arm

Is there anything Tony Stark can’t do?  Seriously, he’s Iron Man, he’s saved the Earth, he’s a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist, is there any limit?

The answer is: no.

Meet Alex and Albert, Alex was born with a partially developed right arm.  Albert is part of an organization called the Limbitless Solutions.  Albert is designing 3D printed prosthetic limbs, and he’s trying to make them accessible to everyone.  According to their site, they can print a prosthetic limb for less than $350 USD.  In today’s market, a prosthetic limb runs for about $40,000 USD.  That means for every child that could get the $40k arm, 114 children could get one of Albert’s 3D printed arms.

What’s a great product without some major endorsement?  Enter Robert Downey Jr., aka. Tony Stark.

Stark comes in to consult on the project Alex and Albert are working on.  On a side note, more kids should be wearing bow ties, bow ties are cool now.

Alex keeps his cool through the meeting, which is not something a lot of us could say.  Stark compares the two arms, and in true Stark Industries fashion, something goes wrong with the Stark Tech.  At least a hovering car, or an army of robots, didn’t run amok.

It’s one of those “The Future is Now” moments.  3D printers are here to stay, and they’re already doing some good.

As for Tony Stark?  I can’t wait until he plays Robert Downey Jr. in the biopic.
