Helbig and Hart will star as the titular characters Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, respectively, two superheroes from Ohio who move to Los Angeles in hopes of becoming famous crime-fighters. You can watch the original series’ opening here:

The children’s sci-fi series only aired one season as a part of The Krofft Supershow and in 2001, WB commissioned a pilot for a revival series but never pulled through.

The two YouTubers announced the project on Legendary’s YouTube channel:

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl are currently being filmed in Canada with Chris Marrs Piliero directing the series. Helbig, Hart and their managers Ken Treusch and Sarah Weichel will serve as the series’ executive producers in addition to Sid and Marty Krofft, the pair behind the original series. Fullscreen will debut and distribute the series in the US and Legendary will handle the global distribution. There’s no word yet on when the series will be released.

This is just one of the many awesome things happening for Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart. Helbig is preparing for a late-night talk show on E! while Hart is celebrating the release of her first book based on her YouTube channel, My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking and Going with Your Gut. Helbig is also an author with her first book, Grace’s Guide: The Art of Pretending to Be a Grown-UpCamp Takota, which also stars YouTuber Mamrie Hart, was released last year and is now available on Netflix. We’re hoping to see Mamrie Hart in the series as well!
