Hell’s Kitchen Welcomes Elodie Yung as Elektra!
In absolutely perfect casting news — in my opinion — G.I. Joe: Retaliation star Elodie Yung has been cast as Elektra in the second season of Marvel’s successful Netflix series, Daredevil!
A mysterious woman from Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) past, Elektra will bring more trouble than Murdock can handle when she appears in Hell’s Kitchen. The first season of Daredevil made a brief mention to the character but Yung’s casting has more than confirmed Elektra’s appearance. Not to mention the teaser poster released by Marvel below:
If you’re not convinced about Yung’s casting as Elektra — well not only does Yung have a Masters in Law (!!) from the University of Paris but she’s also practiced karate for 10 years. Yung is both smart and can kick ass.
And she’s obviously no stranger to wearing red.
Matt Murdock, eat your heart out.
Elodie Yung joins The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal in the second season where he’ll appear as Frank Castle aka The Punisher.
Marvel’s Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio. Season one is now airing on Netflix with season two set to premiere in 2016.
