Montreal ComicCon: The Toronto Con Alternative

That time of year is back again!! CON-SUMMER!!!

Although Toronto has their big con in September with Fan Expo, I personally look forward to Montreal ComicCon myself. They’ve given themselves quite the reputation for being the most organized comic convention I’ve ever been to and they continue to draw better and better guests which keeps me coming back year after year.

This year is no exception with big names like Brent Spiner, Summer Glau and John Barrowman making return appearances and new guests like Cary Elwes showing up for the first time! Personally, I’m going for Cary Elwes, how often do you get to meet Westley from Princess Bride?!

As always, cosplay plays an integral part to the con, there are always stellar pieces that incorporate new and innovative ways to wear costumes. The Masquerade is not to be missed if you want to see all these great pieces in one place.

This year we also welcome many sought after machines to get photos with including Ecto-1, Bumblebee, K.I.T.T., The DeLorean and even a Jeep from Jurassic Park!

I will ALWAYS continue to encourage con-goers to make the trip out to Montreal if you want a good Canadian convention not far from Toronto. Considering how insane Fan Expo gets, this is a great alternative. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. And no, you don’t need to speak french. Most of the celebrities don’t anyway, so you’re good!

So come see me at the Montreal ComicCon! The con runs from July 8-10 in The Palais des congrès de Montréal.
