‘Fallout: Nuka Break’ The Web Series

falloutnukabreakThe trend towards web series has  taken off significantly in the past few years. With the massive success of Dr. Horrible, and it’s inspiration “The Guild”, the web has become a more accessible option to get a show produced and to a large capture internet audience for budgets of varying sizes.

One of the more recent developments in webTV land is the adaptation of Fallout to series. G33KBOT, aware of my love of Space Westerns and the post-apocalyptic genre pointed me towards the series that combines my love of genre television, the awesome creativity of a web series and the live-action adaptation of a much loved FPS.

This series is a follow up to the success of the Fallout fan film released just a few months back. Here’s the good news, like television a web series can go either way. Often dealing with lower production values creativity is highly valued and good writing and acting is even more important with less flash to cover up any missteps. Judging from the first episode I’d say these folks nailed it.

Second bit of good news is that the series is approved by Fallout vets like G33KBOT, and is also accessible and enjoyable for a total fallout n00b like me.
