Title for Star Wars Episode VII Revealed
We’re just a little over a year from the release of Star Wars Episode VII, and it has now been confirmed that the film officially has a title!
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
This announcement comes along with a new teaser image released by the official Star Wars twitter account.
The same account also announced the principal photography on the film has wrapped.
Director J.J. Abrams has kept the official plot synopsis tightly under wraps, but we do know that The Force Awakens takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford will be returning to as Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo, while introducing an entire new generation of Star Wars characters *squeal*.
Episode VII flies into theaters December 18, 2015.
