WATCH: WonderCon Trailer for the BSG Prequel ‘Blood & Chrome’

An a unofficial trailer for the Battlestar Galactica prequel Blood & Chrome was shared by the show’s producers at WonderCon and has since leaked onto the internet for our enjoyment. Blood &  Chrome has been in the works for quite some time and there has been no recent news from SyFy regarding a premiere date.

Blood & Chrome is set during the first Cylon war following a young William “Husker” Adama (Luke Pasqualino) on the Battlestar Galactica. Headed up by Battlestar Galactica and Caprica producers David Eick and Michael Taylor (with Ronald D. Moore notably missing) my hopes are high for the newest BSG spin-off.

Watch the footage:

Update: Syfy President of Original Content Mark Stern has clarified that the series will be web based though the pilot movie will air on the network “at a future date” (via @ EW)

From the trailer Blood & Chrome appears to be much more action packed than the previous character and mythology driven prequel Caprica. Are you excited to finally see footage of Blood & Chrome? What did you think of the preview footage?

  1. Interesting trailer.  I really enjoyed BSG and Caprica (although I didn’t like the way Caprica ended–it seemed a little hokey).  B&C has a lot of potential based on the trailer, but it remains to be seen what will be driving the plot–we know (more or less) how Cylons were created, we know what becomes of them, we won’t have the “anyone might be a Cylon/they look like us now” plot points…  I guess time will tell, but I am looking forward to it!

I loved Caprica (and BSG!!!) too, and agree that the ending was hokey but at least they were given notice of cancellation and able to wrap it up in a (albeit cheesy) bow.
There have been a few plot descriptions of Blood & Chrome floating around, but I’m looking forward to seeing more comprehensive trailers and eventually see the whole thing play out.

I vaguely remember what Adama looks like young from Miami Vice. He did not look like that…
