True Blood Season 4 Preview Official Art Pam Jessica Jason News

What to Watch this Summer: Returning TV Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror & more (on TV)

Wondering when your favourite summer shows are back? I’ve got the scoop for you. Below the jump I’ve got air dates and trailers for summer sci-fi, fantasy, horror and just plain awesome and weird summer viewing.

Click here to check out my rundown of what’s new this summer on TV.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

Season 2, Returns June 14 on ABC Family & MuchMusic, regularly airs Tuesdays at 8pm
This surprise thriller that mixes Gossip Girl, Veronica Mars and I Know What You Did Last Summer returns for another season of mile-a-minute mystery, violence and teen angst.

WEEDS

Season 7, Returns June 27 on Showtime regularly airs Mondays at 10pm
Weeds returns for it’s seventh and final (thank the TV gods) season. After the cliffhanger at the end of the 6th season left us believing that Nancy will be arrested, I’ll be tuning in to see how Nancy manages to talk, fight, or screw her way out of and into trouble one more time as she drags her family down with her.

TRUE BLOOD

Season 4, Returns June 26 on HBO, regularly airs Sundays at 9pm
Vampires, Witches & Faeries, Oh My!
I’ve long stopped caring much about Bill and his beloved Soookie, but it’s the amazing supporting characters that keep reeling me in. I’m psyched to get back in the game with Lafayette, Hoyt, Jessica, Eric, Pam, Arlene, Terry and the gang. Beyond campy, cheesy, violent and sex filled this show is perfect summer slasher/horror/romance type fare.

TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY

Returns July 8 on Starz, Space TBA
What happens when no one on Earth is able to die? We’ll find out in Torchwood’s insane fourth season “Miracle Day”.
Coming off of the impressive “Children of Earth” mini-series last year that may have alienated most of it’s viewers by SPOILER ALERT: killing off most of the main cast, Torchwood returns on it’s new home at Starz with Miracle Day.

HAVEN

Season 2, Returns July 15 on Syfy, regularly airs Fridays at 10pm & July 18 on Showcase
With last season’s shocker ending that FBI Agent Audrey Parker may not be Audrey Parker at all, I’m sure everyone is eager to return to the little town of Haven, Maine, and find out what new Troubles are in store.

BREAKING BAD

Season 4, Returns July 17 on AMC
Does this one really need an intro? Sans Mad Men this AMC Original will be flying solo on the line up this summer. Let’s give it the love it deserves.

ENTOURAGE

Season 8, July 24 on HBO
The final season of watching the guys living the life in Hollywood. It’s kind of a guilty pleasure at this point but Adrian Grenier is just too damn pretty to look at.

WAREHOUSE 13

Season 3, Returns July 11 on Syfy, regularly airs Mondays at 9pm

  1. I know right! They just started production about a week ago, I’ll be posting behind the scenes pics tomorrow.
They’re slated for a fall release, so probably around Halloween again.
