Crisis Of Conformity Release Fist Fight 7″

Last year’s Saturday Night Live sketch featuring Fred Armisen, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), Ashton Kutcher and Bill Hader playing middle aged men reuniting their 1980’s hardcore band, Crisis Of Conformity was a hit and the song they performed, “Fist Fight in the Parking Lot” has now spawned a single that is going to be released through Drag City. The song in the sketch was written as a nod to the bands Armisen was listening to growing up including Black Flag who he says was a major influence in the record’s B-side, called “Kick It Down And Kick It Around.”

Armisen may be mostly known these days for Saturday Night Live as well as his show Portlandia (with Sleater-Kinney’s Carrie Brownstein) however he has performed in the band, Trenchmouth as well as on Les Savy Fav’s album, Let’s Stay Friends. Click the ‘read more’ to hear the single, “Fist Fight” which has been recorded by Fugazi’s Brendan Canty with Armisen behind all of the instruments.
