Foo Fighters Mock Homophobes
The Foo Fighters are no strangers to comedy, and after anti-gay protesters from Westboro United Church picketed their concert in Kansas City, MO accusing the band of promoting “fornication, adultery, idolatry (and) fags” it was the band who got the last laugh.
Donning fake beards, trucker hats and hilarious mock Southern accents, the Foos mounted the back of an American flag covered flatbed truck and came prepped a little ditty called ‘Keeping It Clean’ up their work shirt’s sleeves. With lyrics like, “I’ve got a hankering for somethin’, I think I’m in the mood for some hot man muffins”, they were met with cheers from their fans and startled looks from the protesters even going so far as to confuse a sign wielding picketer into admitting, “I love that song”.
