Horns Up: New Mastodon Video With Art By Tim Biskup

Mastodon fans have everything coming up Milhouse these days with the release of their follow up to ‘Curl Of The Burl’ which features the artwork of lowbrow punk rock artist, Tim Biskup. You may know Tim’s work from ‘The Jackson 500’ series published by Dark Horse Books but even if you don’t, you’ll be sure to appreciate his dark surrealism in the video for ‘Dry Bone Valley’ (keep reading to watch it).

Biskup says the art in the video represents “waking up to find yourself being chased by death and having to reckon with dying and what that actually means to you” although that only begins to scratch the surface as, “the girl in the video goes from hunted to hunter. There’s a whole lot more going on metaphorically, and the symbolism goes very deep and is very specific, but I’ll leave the rest up to interpretation.” Uhh, how about the fact that it’s just straight up creepy? But tell me what you see, and maybe we can forge a group effort to figure out what the fuck is happening here.

Now as one final piece of awesome, Mastodon have also announced that they are going on tour with Opeth and Ghost this spring, and you can check www.mastodonrocks.com to see when they will be hitting your city.
