Who do you want to play Tetsuo in the live action Akira?

Who’s ready to nerdrage? As you may have heard, Warner Bros. are turning our favorite anime, Akira, into a $90 million dollar epic.

In case you don’t know what Akira‘s all about, it’s set in the near future in New Manhattan following a couple of brothers – Kaneda who heads up a biker gang and Tetsuo who gains insane telekinetic powers.

Now it’s bad enough that they cast Kristen Stewart as Ky Reed, but they originally offered the role of Tetsuo to Keanu Reeves *groooaan* I know right? Thankfully he turned it down. Pfft Neo as Tetsuo, c’mon.

Well here’s a list of all the actors up for the role of the famous Tetsuo. Who would you want?

D.J. Cotrona (the Detroit 1-8-7, Flint in G.I.Joe 2: Retaliation), Logan Marshal Green (Devil, Prometheus), Toby Kebbell (RocknRolla, War Horse), Richard Madden (Robb Stark in Game of Thrones), Rami Malek (The Pacific, 24, Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2), and Michael Pitt (Boardwalk Empire). Also, Paul Dano (Cowboys & Aliens, There Will Be Blood) and Alden Ehrenreich (Tetro) will be retesting.

My vote is on Richard Madden. He already has that crazy look in his eye.
