No Blizzcon 2012. Gamers hang themselves. [not really]


According to Battle.net, Bilzzards official site, BlizzCon will return in 2013 due to a “jam packed schedule.”

The news came yesterday as Blizzard announced its 2012 Battle.net World Championship event while nonchalantly dropping this bomb at the ass end of the article.

Even though I don’t play a single Blizzard game, this breaks my heart a little. This is pretty much the PC equivalent of cancelling San Diego Comic Con.

I understand that making CG trailers and other eye candy for Blizzcon is time consuming. Time that could be spent on finishing games. But, you gotta ask yourself, do people really need another Warcraft expansion? I don’t see the point of creating more content for a game that was last-gen 3 years ago. The time and effort that has been, in my opinion, wasted on expanding the world of Warcraft, could have yielded a far superior sequel with better graphics that I might actually play! …Priorities.
